Planina - Songs of Eastern Europe will present music from Albania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Macedonia, Russia, Ukraine and LIthuania. Based in Denver and Boulder, the group has been delighting audiences along the Front Range for 30+ years. Wearing colorful folk costumes and playing traditional instruments, Planina will present a variety of music, from simple village songs to choral arrangements to rollicking dance tunes. For young audience members, Planina includes some participatory clapping and vocalization as well as extra explanations about the instruments and songs.
Blankets and sunscreen are encouraged. Space is limited and to seat as many people as possible, we ask that you only reserve enough blanket space to accommodate your party. Chairs will not be permitted on the lawn but are allowed as space is available in specified areas.
