In partnership with the show producers, we have made the difficult decision to postpone or cancel the Colin Hay performance scheduled for Friday, March 19, 2021 due to the ongoing impacts of COVID-19. Beginning January 15, 2021, all ticket purchasers will automatically receive a full refund credited back to the original method of payment. This process may take up to two weeks to complete. We will likely announce any rescheduled dates in mid-May of 2021.
A founding member of Men At Work—the chart-topping band that received a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1983—singer-songwriter Colin Hay is most beloved for his intimate, confessional live shows. The range of artists who have chosen to cite him as a muse or who have found themselves on stage with him spans the genre landscape from heavy metal, to Americana, to Cuban rhythms and beyond. His inclusion as a playlist favorite from the likes of Metallica to The Lumineers reflects his continuing relevance and broad appeal.
Using his gift for expressing struggle in a way that resonates with a wide variety of people, Hay's solo works have garnered him a devoted fanbase, which kept growing after his songs were featured on television shows like Scrubs as well as in the critically acclaimed movie, Garden State. Now finding himself in the unprecedented place of having both 80s fame and indie credibility, Hay has delivered the defining album of his solo career, Fierce Mercy.
"...the guy is a natural storyteller, and if that’s not apparent in the song lyrics he’s crafted over the decades, it’s clear from the anecdotes he sprinkles throughout his live performances." —The Spokesman-Review
"Hay is an underground hero who deserves more attention but is fine without the limelight. It’s a delight to experience his well-crafted songs and anecdotes." —The Spokesman-Review
