Join The Lincoln Center in giving back to the community now through Dec. 19 with the Cozy Coats Pet Supply Drive, benefiting The Street Dog Coalition. The Lincoln Center has held annual donation drives to benefit local charities during the giving season for many years.
“The Lincoln Center is a gathering place for the community,” says Director Jack Rogers “and our community loves to help pets and animals in need.” Because of the return of the National Geographic Live series this season, our staff knew they wanted to partner with a non-profit that benefits animals in Northern Colorado. Working with The Street Dog Coalition seemed a perfect fit.
The Street Dog Coalition is a nonprofit organization that provides free veterinary care and related services to pets of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Using a One Health approach to street medicine and pop-up street clinics, Street Dog cares for lives on both ends of the leash. They are committed to protecting the human-animal bond by caring for the pet and their person. The Coalition currently operates in 60+ cities across the U.S. and continues to grow thanks to generous volunteers, donors, sponsors and community partners.
For this supply drive, we’re asking for donations of durable heavy-duty dog coats in sizes M–XXL, new or gently used collars, leashes and harnesses. Please no holiday sweaters or costumes.
If you wish to donate items during the Cozy Coats pet supply drive can drop them off at The Lincoln Center, located at 417 W. Magnolia Street in Fort Collins, during business hours which vary but include Tue-Sat, 1–6 p.m. and one hour prior to or during performance. Tickets are not required to drop off donations.
