Audio Assistance

We offer various free audio assistance options:

For performances in both the Performance Hall and Magnolia theatres, we provide headsets and neck loops that amplify sound to ensure you don’t miss a word of the performance. Please inquire with a House Manager or a member of the Performance Volunteer team to check out a device.  You must provide an ID or car keys as collateral while using the device.

Hearing loops are installed in both our Performance Hall and Magnolia theaters. Hearing loops allow people who wear hearing aids to directly receive the sound from our sound system in their own hearing aids. If you wear hearing aids and they have a wireless receiver called a T-coil or Telecoil built-in, you do not need to pick up a separate listening device. If your device is equipped, the T-coil setting must be activated by pushing a button on your hearing aid or by turning on T-coil on your device’s mobile app before use.

Selected performances offer real-time captioning on screens located throughout the Performance Hall theater for an enhanced viewing experience. At these performances, captioning is also available on your mobile device by scanning a QR code. Subject to availability. Please inquire at LCaccess@fcgov.com or call our box office about the availability of these services for the performance you are attending.

We are proud to offer sign language interpretation for select performances. With three weeks’ advanced notice, ASL interpretation may be available.

Service Animals

We recognize the important role that service animals play in assisting individuals with disabilities and as such are welcome at The Lincoln Center. Service animals are individually trained to do work or perform a service for a person with a disability.

Emotional support animals are not recognized by ADA regulations and are not allowed inside The Lincoln Center.

To ensure a comfortable experience for you and your service animal, we recommend purchasing seats on aisles that do not require stairs. In the Performance Hall, the best location is in the accessible Row Q areas or on any aisle seats in the Orchestra. If you have any questions about seating with a service animal, please email LCaccess@fcgov.com or call our Box Office at 970.221.6730 from 1 p.m. 6 p.m. Tuesday–Saturday.

Website Accessibility

The Lincoln Center is committed to providing a fully accessible website experience for all users of all abilities, including those who rely on assistive technologies like screen readers, screen enlargement software, and alternative keyboard input devices to navigate the web.

The Lincoln Center follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 as the guiding principle for determining accessibility. These are internationally agreed-upon standards that cover a wide range of recommendations and best practices for making content useable. As The Lincoln Center adds new pages and functionality to this website, all designs, code and content entry practices are checked against these standards.

Website accessibility is an ongoing process. We continually test content and features for WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance and remediate any issues to ensure we meet or exceed the standards. Testing of our website is performed by our team members using industry-standard tools such as the  Accessibility Checker WordPress Plugin, color contrast analyzers, keyboard-only navigation techniques and Flesch-Kincaid readability tests.
